Living with the impact of cancer
Equip yourself with the vital skills you need to strengthen your relationships with people living with or beyond cancer and help them to self-manage more effectively.
Assessment and management of problems with eating and weight loss in cancer patients with ACS (cachexia).
The pack pulls together resources relevant to the management of ACS. It is intended to facilitate timely screening, assessment, intervention and/or referral to relevant health professionals in order to manage the physical, psychological and emotional impact of ACS effectively.
The resources were developed using the evidence base, where possible, or current best practice in the absence of an evidence base.
The pack is a guide and is not intended to be prescriptive. Certain parts can be adapted according to local policy and developing evidence. The pack concentrates on managing the consequences of ACS rather than treatments intended to influence the underlying pathophysiology.
